To be honest, I have seen some other reviews for this wig but decided to make one myself. Hope it helps other cosplayers/consumers/customers. More under the cut~
Anyway..
So this is how I got the wig: tucked nicely inside a clear plastic bag with a carton supporting the shape and a net to prevent it from going around... like all other wigs. :)
Out of the plastic, here's how it looks like. Kinda nice huh. So far so good~
Sorry for the rather blurry photo. So here's how it looks like out of the net (front). Smooth and without tangles. It's a dark blonde color. Not too orangish or anything with a few white strands to balance the color out. So it doesn't look too blonde... Did that make sense? xD
Back view
Top view.
Here we see that the wig fibers are evenly distributed.
A closer view of the fibers. It's not too thin and not too thick.
What I really like about this wig is that it's rather soft to the touch. I can't really say that it's not easily tangled or anything because that actually depends on how you move around. So far, I can say so-so.
When worn.
OTL. Forgive my fail face. Haha~
After the first styling.
I trimmed the bangs a bit.
To be honest, this wig is rather easy to work with when it comes to styling. I really love how soft and thick the fibers are. I wasn't able to take a photo of it but there's actually a pin thingy inside so it locks into your WIG CAP too for double security. At least you're more secured that it won't just fall off all of a sudden.
How it looks like now. Sorry the top is kinda messy haha. I wasn't able to brush it before I took the photo. Here the bangs are more "layered" compared to the pre-styling.
Oh wait. This is supposed to be a wig review.
Haha. Sorry...
Anyway, in summary~
- I personally like the fact that there are white/lighter strands of fiber in the wig. It helps balance the color and not make it look too vibrant or painful to the eyes. :)
- The wig fibers are soft and thick. It is evenly distributed.
- There is a small hook near the "hairline" of the wig for additional security. You can hook it at the very front of your wig cap for additional security that it won't fall off.
- Regarding whether it gets easily tangled or not, I cannot really say anything about it. Personally I really believe that it depends on how the user moves about.
- Regarding when it does get tangled, so far so good. The front part of my wig tangled a bit because I was moving around so much but it didn't really take too much effort to untangle it. However...
- I suggest using a wide tooth comb or a wig comb and brush it carefully from bottom to the top. I got a little too excited and had a fibers fall off my wig. I guess that gives it minus points for durability. I don't know about other brands though. Maybe it's just me...
Overall~
I give this wig a 3.5 out of 5.
I think it IS comparable to Grand Young, but I have seen better wig brands around.
For a wig that is 1,100php (roughly 22 usd), it's worth the money.
xD
Byebye~
